It's Hard to Say War Wasn't Worth It

But as long as we are stuck in the denial stage, the problem will remain unaddressed. Meanwhile

Baghdad hotel hit by Katyusha fire

Suspected Iraqi insurgents fired a Katyusha rocket Wednesday at the highly-guarded Sheraton Hotel in central Baghdad without causing casualties, reports said.

Witnesses said the rocket hit the seventh floor of the hotel whose guests are mostly foreign journalists and businessmen causing minor material damage.

The hotel overlooks al-Firdous square, which has become the Iraqi people's "speakers' corner" since the statue of former president Saddam Hussein was toppled after Baghdad's fall last April.

In another development, a roadside bomb exploded near a U.S. military patrol in Baghdad early Wednesday, but there was no official report of casualties, although witnesses said three U.S. troops were slightly injured.

In the city of Falluja, 60 kilometers (37 miles) west of Baghdad, two Iraqi civilians were killed late Tuesday when gunmen exchanged fire with U.S. troops before fleeing.
