I think it is one of the stupidest moves the Israelis have ever made. My first reaction......what were they thinking? They've made Yassin into a martyr and pushed moderates into the Hamas camp. As opposed to what -- the Al-Aqsa Brigades' camp? Six of one, half-dozen of the other. Sorry, Z, there WAS a moderate, reasoned voice in Palestine. It may not have been a strong voice but now its much weaker. Its this fatalistic attitude that Israelis have that manages to dig this hole deeper and deeper........"the Palestinians are animals and can't be reasoned with.......there is no hope so we must wave and wield the big stick........maybe then they will behave." I bet that attacks on Israel do not go up significantly as a result of this anytime soon. I hope you're right. ted
