Don't be a dope. I have specifically extolled the rule of law if it can operate effectually. In my last example, I said that respect for the rule of law should prevent vigilantism even when one cannot secure conviction of a known murderer. I am merely pointing out that justice and due process are not the same, and that when there is no question of the rule of law, because of an essentially anarchic situation, due process is inapplicable.
