Actually publication of original material, in and by itself, secures protection under the copyright laws, so there is no need to post such a warning.

I believe the issue would be SI's use of user-posted copyrighted material for monetary gain - which is why user posting of copyrighted property of others is a violation of the Terms of Use. In my opinion.
