my "dream scenario" here is to see a nice jackup in US rates. i would love to buy back into the 30yr with a 6-handle or better. considering how volatile rates have become (last year's move from yield trough to peak was about a 48% move), a similar 48% move off recent trough area could put the 10yr at over 5.4%!

i'd say if that happens, it will take about 10 seconds before the economy falls apart.

sounds to me that low rates are the feds worst nightmare here, contrary to what we are led to beleive: or else, they are trying to scare everyone into locking in now....
