Hi Dave,

Interesting problem...

This post:

Message 19953185

can be seen and accessed via the thread. However, if you <click> on the poster's alias, the same post is not found in his posts' listing.

Wait. It gets better. In the content of the post in the above link, the poster is saying he cannot get to the other person's original post to reply; "an SI problem", he says. However, I have no problem getting to the referenced post...

As you said before, SI may be unstable for a little bit...

My guess is that the various tables involved aren't keeping up with one another (being updated) during a posting sequence...

KJC

*EDIT*

Interestingly enough, this post does not show up under my profile. <ggg>

Hi Dave,

I just responded to your PM, but SI gave me a posting error. Did you receive my PM? If not, then SI may have a problem in sending, or in responding to PMs. Additionally, my response to your PM did not remove your PM from my Inbox, nor did it remove the count.

KJC

Thanks for working hard to get the job done.
I hope Bob had a great 17th anniversary!

Remember, the sun shines behind the clouds--lol!

Meanwhile, on the below thread ...

Subject 54632

... I'm seeing posted messages on the list, but no content when I click on them. I get the "The message cannot be found" message.

Since I'm posting much of the information presented onto the thread into the thread's header--a time-consuming process--any idea how long it'll take to get the above thread back to normal?

Thanks!
