Clarke stated that he is extremely worried that the administration (Iraq2) acts in favour of Al-Q and terrorism.
O'Neil obviously thinks the administration is catastrophe for state finance.

It's unusual that such ranks turn on so heavily, isn't it?

Very unusual........it shows the level of distrust within this administration and the unorthodox way they are running the gov't. The same thing is happening with Blair's administration. In both countries, a very negative influence has been allowed to take over the gov't.

GWB:

"Had I known that the enemy was going to use airplanes to strike America, to attack us, I would have used every resource, every asset, every power of this government to protect the American people," Mr. Bush said to a burst of applause."

But did Washington really want to know? (9/11 was a political god's gift for the NeoCons. It's more than they ever dreamed.)

The Germans warned them of eminent hijackings. They did very little in response. In fact, I don't think they believed the Germans.........."Old Europe" and all that. <g>

"The White House announced late Thursday that Ms. Rice was willing to appear before the panel again, but only in private and not under oath."

Interesting. "Only in private and not under oath." Washington is very nuanced when it comes to find the truth.

It makes you wonder what she has to hide.

only in private and not under oath.

That can only mean she plans to lie to the commission.
