My other computer says "SMART Failure predicted on hard disk." Then it said, "WARNING: Immediately back-up your data and replace your hard drive. A failure may be imminent."
I saved everything on my hard drive. Can I fix it? If not, then how much will it cost to replace the hard drive?

I tried running scan disk (thorough) and it stopped about half way through the process. It said something about not being able to communicate (?) with the C: drive.

Thanks for any help,
Ashley

I recently formatted my hard drive and can't remember how to change several settings from the default mode. I am using w98se and want to have temporary or cached files eliminated at shutdown. I'd also like to eliminate the auto remember mode especially as it applies to passwords. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
