Rice discredited Cheney, Cheney discredited Rice, Clarke was an integral part of planning, Clarke was out of the Loop. Actually they are both right, Clarke had a plan for dealing with Al-Quida, but he wasn't part of the Attack Iraq loop, which was the only plan Bush and Company had.
