Linux is the next big thing. I used to like NOVL better than RHAT because RHAT dumped the desktop early on and NOVL embraced it. However, once NOVL entered the market and said they were going to support a desktop, RHAT backtracked and says they will have a "client" in a few mos. Since RHAT is a better marketing company they could win out over NOVL long term. A very tough call. Google and Friendster are going complete open source with MySQL, JBOSS and Linux OS. These are both RHAT customers but they enrolled before NOVL had Linux. NOVL has an advantage offshore with their infrastructure.
