Problems I've seen are a loss of commitment. For instance, sometimes you have a male gay couple work things out with a female gay couple to have a child. Its hard enough for a straight couple to stay together, let alone, two gay couples raising one child. Divorce or separation is always messy and complicated, but, to my mind, it seems more so when you have two couples breaking up. Who does the child go to of the four parents? Then there's support issues. Do you have three of the parents support the one with the child, etc....
