"When Citizens Against Government Waste recently listed Specter in its "Pig Book" as one of the Senate's most profligate spenders, he shot back: "If they left me out, I'd be worried." "

spector latest ads are programs he voted against big spending or cut out pork. ggg

"Weyrich's complaint is a common one." this must not be recent as i have read Weyrich's almost exact comments a few months back. He switched to Toomey and support very early on.

Now the question can Toomey beat the democrat running against him if he wins.. Highly unlikely, so republicans lose seat. imo Then if Spector wins i believe he will retain his seat. Is that good? sometimes. If he loses and senate loses majority does it matter. Bush would perhaps love to dump him but politics says he is best that they can do to maybe have a chance of winning Pa. but i am sure Rendall will do everything he can to get out the vote for kerry, as will Philly mayor who got re elected based on fbi bugs in his office and starting telling everyone it was bush administration. He got in without any trouble. so figure philadelphia is a no Bush just to get started. zip votes for Bush. you can count them on one hand in Philly.

I'm voting for Toomey in the primary next month. I'm tired
of Specter. He has more BS than 2 politicians. Hopefully
Toomey will win in the fall & not hurt Bush in PA.
