CONDO-SLEAZA LICE -- Hypocrite of the Week

One of the most interesting revelations of the week was the fact that Condy decided to run like hell on the morning of 9/11, and turn the National Security Advisor's chair in the White House Situation Room over to Richard A. Clarke, while Condy went to the basement bunker to powder her nose.

Revealing.

She shares with the rest of them the amazing ability to use incompetence as an excuse for failure and get away with it.

Note that this is also the Enron strategy. Lay and Skilling keep saying that they were misled by their underlings which means that they are not guilty by means of gross incompetence. So far, it's still working for Shrub bud Kennyboy Lay. No wonder everyone else in the admin is trying it out for size.

One thing about the 911 Hearings, it clearly shows how horrendous the Republican focus on Clinton/Monica was. Instead of focusing on what was truly important, that ridiculous fiasco (ok, censure and condemn the guy but get on with business) took over the entire government and politicized (wag the dog) any military action.

I think Condi Rice should be compelled to testify under oath, on her knees in front of a giant figure of the Bleeding Jesus on the Cross.
