If the Bush administration had gone after Osama bin Laden with anything akin to the energy it is expending to discredit Richard Clarke, the story of America's response to terrorism might have been dramatically different. Clark discredited himself. On August 2 '02 he's on this tape talking about what a great job the Bush administration had done in protecting us against terrorism. Now, as a disgruntled employee, the story is different. The guy is a liar. It is that simple.
