They refer to older routers, though.
Back then I was able to make the Linksys wireless work just by using the quick reference sheet that came with the router.

LinkSys was recommended to me as well. Been told it was the best out there.

Intend to "wire" in 5 machines and a laptop. Think that's feasible?
