Look, Clarke wrote a leftist book for the leftist Simon & Schuster which is owned by the leftist Viacom which owns leftist CBS which owns leftist 60 minutes and a host of other powerful leftist media all of which has long despised Bush and tried to take him down. CBS tried to take down Bush I. And now, a day after the release of his leftist book, Clarke is made the star witness before a group consisting essentially of leftists who wish to lay the blame for 911 on Bush, though Bush was in office for only 7 months prior and could not possibly have stopped 911. Even Clarke admits this. GORTON: Now, since my yellow light is on, at this point my final question will be this: Assuming that the recommendations that you made on January 25th of 2001, based on Delenda, based on Blue Sky, including aid to the Northern Alliance, which had been an agenda item at this point for two and a half years without any action, assuming that there had been more Predator reconnaissance missions, assuming that that had all been adopted say on January 26th, year 2001, is there the remotest chance that it would have prevented 9/11? It will be obvious to all fair-minded men that regardless of his innocence, Bush cannot trust commissioners who so eagerly and wholeheartedly trust liars like Dick Clarke. Bush appears to hide nothing at all. He ostensibly knows leftists are hiding the truth and wishes to try an end run around them. It is the right thing to do and so far he is doing nicely. He only needs to keep up his attack until the lefties drop dead.
