DR,

You know he isn't lying. And Bush has painted himself into a corner, with his war-time President sound bites. (He looks as phony as Dukakis in a helmet on a tank). It's the only thing he had in his bag, and now it's being shown that he's a total failure in the defense arena.

The WH is very badly managed, they have no clue how to assess risk or assign priorities. Would you hire Bush as a CEO of a company? Well he's a worse CEO of the country.

He's a failure on virtually every front, no matter if you are liberal or conservative. Only the neo-cons, the brain-addled talk show conservatives and blindly Republican partisans can support this guy. And there are not enough of those to win in November.

You better hope the Dem's shoot themselves in the foot, it's your only chance.

John

Thank God for people of principle like Clarke.

It doesn't bother you AT ALL that the SOB lied through his teeth? You can't get away from it -- he either lied in the book or on August 2 '02. Given he is pumping a book now, one can only sensibly conclude he is lying now.

Thank God people aren't buying your ridiculous premise. We've all had bosses [probably Republican] who we couldn't take but had to say nice things about them because of that weekly paycheck.
