Well, a point that keeps coming up from Hamas and Al-Qaida members themselves is that they "love death"

Well, they certainly tried to convince that 14-year old last week death was going to be great. 72 virgins. He get's 'em all. A lot of 14-year olds would be willing to strap themselves up with explosives for that. Oh, yeah, they threw in 20 bucks, too, I think.

Sick insects.

>Yes. They're insects. Everyone knows insects love to die.

Well, a point that keeps coming up from Hamas and Al-Qaida members themselves is that they "love death" while the Israelis and/or the West "love life."

Z,

I don't see too many 25 year old Palestinians willing to die for Hamas. Most suicide bombers are sub 25 and many are sub 20. Suicide is the highest or second highest cause of death among American teens. It has to do with their sense of invincibility coupled with a lack of experience making them easily indoctrinated and pliable.

Then again, the Palestinian 16 year old on the news this past week clearly did not want to die.

The problem with discussing Hamas as insects or as sub humans is that it makes it easier not to care what they care about and to kill them off without feeling guilt. Having said all that, the members of Hamas ARE unquestionably human with all the feelings and needs humans have. I wouldn't discount them.
