Well, that would at least clarify the political question
from one of "taxing those evil nasty corporations"
to "imposing trade restrictions and tariffs on
imported goods".

Somehow, I think the U.S. population will be much
less inclined to support the latter, especially
if it means they would have to pay clearly higher
prices.

Lizzie, product quality, work ethics, unions, political instability etc. in the outsourcing countries will kill the US corporate penchant for outsourcing. It is a matter of time before this starts to occur. Consequently, the US companies will be back here in the US, the land of opportunity. A land where they will reintroduce themselves to the opportunity of finding the best workers in the world.
