I'm not really arguing about the overall
competitiveness of American workers one way
or the other. The Japanese auto companies
may be better managed than the U.S. ones.
That would not surprise me at all.

My main point on this thread has been that
the U.S. imposes taxes on its companies that
other countries do not impose on their companies.
The so-called "corporate tax break" that Kerry
wants to eliminate was originally put in so that
this disparity could be narrowed. Eliminating
it will have unintended (negative) consequences
in my opinion.
