lurqer, I read something posted by a Spaniard who said Aznar was very popular. He had turned a languishing economy with something like 40 percent unemployment into a robust one. He'd done good things for his country. But the one thing he did that the Spanish could not tolerate was fall into lockstep with Bush. So he's out because he lost sight of the fact his allegiance should have been with his people for their best interests. Bush's record is appalling. His single best shot had been folks' belief that he protected this country. Thanks to Clarke, Bush stands for nothing except corporate and oil interests - certainly not the interests of the majority of Americans.
