Should be an interesting day of interviews.

We had nearly ten years of terrorist acts from the first WTC bombing, and little was done to improve coordination of the intelligence agencies or mobilize an internal security network until after 9-11.

Did GWB take the right action in response to 911 or not?

There seems to be few complaints that inadequate action was taken, in fact most complaints are the other way- too much action and too much expense.

The success in preventing another homeland attack clouds the issue.

If a major attack occurs here , the pendulum swings the other way and we will hear complaints that not enough was or is being done.

And the arguments can continue, since terrorist acts continue.

Still there are larger threats to look at and that is nuclear bombs which only Nations can afford to build.

So I agree with Ms Rice that its a bigger threat. Less likely to occur, but far more deadly and therefore worthy of a high priority.
