Iraq wasn't about freedom. Iraq was about obtaining military bases in the middle east to secure our oil supplies for the coming century. China has 2.5 billion people who want to drive, and they'll need gasoline. So will the rising middle classes in India. We needed bases outside of Saudi Arabia, to make Osama happier and to have some leverage over the Saudis, but right next door in case we need to swoop in and "protect" their oil too. Our troops will be there 'till the oil runs dry. Bedlam in Iraq serves this purpose, and will continue. Wake up and smell the petrol - Bush and Cheney are oil men.
