It wouldn't bother me if it was made legal. But I do fear that the many addictive personalities would be in deep doodoo if it was legal...even with the 12 step program offered free from the government.

You forget that we give Colombia too much aid so the government supports the spraying. You are wrong about the spraying analogy with our country. It is government supported.

Don't exactly know what you mean here. I stated that the spraying in Colombia is supported by the US government. My analogy of spraying in this country is spot on. We'd never stand for it...and that is why we should end the spraying program in Colombia...it's ill thought out for sure.

Certainly making the drug legal would take the money out of the drug lords hands. But it would have a devastating effect on the people. Not only here in the US, but in all of south and central America, where cocaine use is already becoming a problem. In these countries, cocaine is already cheap and readily available, and it is taking it's toll on the young people.

There are no simple answers. But to my way of thinking spraying the hills and valleys of Colombia is just plain wrong.
