Then there's not much to suggest that becoming Clinton's "top priority" leads to any results, either. What did they DO, as opposed to talk about or think about doing?

As far as I can see the Clinton administration gave an order to kill Bin Laden, while making it clear through their legalistic attitude, and memories of previous hearings still being fresh, that if the CIA missed or bungled in any way, the agency would be hung out to dry. So, surprise!, the agency didn't care to move until it had 100% certainty and clearance from the lawyers, which of course never happened.

Did Clinton put ANY special forces on the ground in Afghanistan?
