President Nixon was forced to resign, he was democratically elected (by one of the largest margins in American history). Sometimes leaders have got to go - even before their terms are up.

At any rate, as far as I know, the United States did not support the overthrow Aristide. What happened, is that Aristide resigned when it was clear that the United States would not militarily prop him up. Once the United States moved him (and his friends) to safety, he changed his mind about resigning.

re:"If the Soviet Union invaded the U.S. (using Granada as a base LOL!), removed President Reagan, and occupied Washington for 3 years, do you think those 3 years should count as part of Reagan's term?

Also, how do you feel about America's support for the terrorists that overthrew a democratically elected government in Haiti?"
