Over at the Amazon book review board for Clarke's book, righwingers are posting an onslaught of "Clarke is a liar" "another liberal spewing out lies" ad nauseum. They can't stand the truth being told. It's a real sickness among these folks. Thoughtful, actual readers of the book have a different view of Clarke's work as you can well imagine.

I saw last night the C-span replay of John Kerry vs John O'Neill on Dick Cavett show. Led me to the observation that Kerry was as pompous at 27y/o as he is at 60y/o. O'Neill's righteous indignation was palpable as he confronted Kerry's slander of his fellow vets. It would be wonderful to see a 2004 re-match with both men on same subject, however we know Kerry would never agree to it.
