Manufacturing BULLISH
The Smokestack Seven are rising fast today.
They're going to report good numbers.
This group lives and breathes earnings momentum.

Here we go again with the Ingersoll-Rand (IR:NYSE - commentary - research), the American Standard (ASD:NYSE - commentary - research), the Fortune Brands (FO:NYSE - commentary - research), the Caterpillar (CAT:NYSE - commentary - research), the Deere (DE:NYSE - commentary - research), the 3M (MMM:NYSE - commentary - research), the United Technologies (UTX:NYSE - commentary - research). You know what's happening: The stocks that are going to report the best numbers are what's screaming.

And not a moment too soon, because this group lives and breathes earnings momentum.

You have to love the action today. I found myself thinking like OutKast, "I like the way it moves," it's that positive -- with the right stocks moving up, the ones that will report monster quarters.

You know I love the Smokestack Seven. I love them because their earnings are so stellar that numbers have to go higher.

It's still where you have to be.
