Well, of course, lefty websites do not count. Clarke has surely hit the President. Bush would have been better off had Clarke not lied to sell his book. But considering the overwhelming assault by the Democrats and their media supporters like CBS, NBC, ABC, Bush has done quite excellently. He has stiffed the leftists in the face and held them off, even savaging Clarke in the process. Against the leftists, six out of ten Americans think Bush did the right thing in response to terrorism. A whopping 70% think the Democrats were failures. That is certain evidence that the Democrats have not prevailed, that Bush yet remains on top. The GOP needs to now detach Bush while keeping up the counterattack. Their numbers will continue to climb.
