JLA, as an attorney, you know the rule on circumstantial evidence. The evidence relied upon must be of such a quality and the facts so related to each other that the proof proposed is the only conclusion which can fairly be drawn from the circumstantial evidence. Your circumstantial evidence fails that test.

Re: Cherry picking?

Do you deny that certain of his communcations should probably remain secret.....??

>>> Depends. I think it's likely that some info should remain classified though.

Fact: What Clarke said then and what he is saying now are diametrically opposed....

>>> How the Hell could you know that... since the only things that have been made public are cherry-picked statements served-up with the goal of covering him in mud?

>>> Apparently, the WH has *no problem* with LEAKING classified materials, if they think it will be a political net-gain... but evidence that might refute their slander remains subject to their continued classification.

>>> Only way to settle the issue --- assuming they wish certain 'sensitive material' to remain classified, would be be put it all before an eminent panel of experts, all certified for appropriate access, and then let them examine the charges and render an opinion as to their validity --- or lack there-of.

>>> The day Bush agrees to an honest examination of the charges, instead of continued gutter politics --- is the day Hell freezes over.
