He was selling the party line in that "press briefing". As an employee of the Bush admin, did you expect him to blast their policy to the press? How many times does that happen in the 100's of press briefing that take place every year?

Anybody that isn't totally naive understands what a press briefing is for.

Your guys will do anything to discredit Clarke because he refutes the Rep dogma that Bush is tough on terrorism. The only thing he's been tough on is Iraq, where the only threat was to the family legacy.
