No one would have had support in taking American soldiers into the Afghanistan that kicked out the Russians, prior to the tragedy of 9/11 that happened under the bush/cheney neglect (while they were obsessing over taking Iraq, from Day 1). As Clarke said, Clinton's administration stopped many incidents through prevention. bush/cheney were asleep at the switch leading up to 9/11, then helped spirit bin Laden's relatives and Saudi Carlyle buddies out of the country. The worst terrorist incident in our history happened under bush neglect, after intelligence and warnings were ignored. The smear campaign is on, among the angry, vicious cheney minions.
