If you want to change Iraq and the middle east, you must do it through people. If we used the money spent on invading and occupying Iraq to provide a free education to the youth of the middle east, the impact would be infinitely more positive and lasting than bombing the crap out of them

Without those bombs and the invasion any money sent to provide Iraqi children a free education would have been gone to Saddam, who might or might not use it for education. Even if it was spent on education Saddam and his cronies would have controlled the education making it unlikely that the money would have had a positive long lasting effect.
