A story from those who left behind by the economic wonder in China (I read the story from a Chinese forum) A couple both were unemployed because the state-owned factory they worked for were privatized. The guy had a stroke, could not move, and the wife supported the family by picking through the trash on the street. Their child wanted to eat some meat, the mother could spare only 2 Yuan, but the guy who sold the meat refused to sell because too much trouble. Then another customer came, spent 100 Yuan just to buy some meat for his dog.
