Why should the US have all the great jobs? Spread the wealth. It only serves to make us better, and it makes the world safer by making us all interdependent.

Protectionism is a loser's game.

I listened to the sons cc last night. Not noteworthy except they really wouldn't discuss the ongoing details of the investigation or who was let go.

The CEO and CFO are still there and IMO if the board had an inkling either was involved with the reporting issue (I assume its revenue recognition related) they would be gone.

"This is not the way free trade is supposed to work, we need a better plan. All this did was destroy a lot of people's livelihood and reduce the number of new entrants to US engineering schools by 25%."

These days anyone who lets their kid major in engineering without giving them a firm warning is really stupid. Perhaps by the time they are 45 they can apply for one of the many openings at Walmart and go for early retirement. Comparing jobs created versus jobs lost is ridiculous since they are never equivalent jobs. People are being displaced at a point in their career where retraining is next to impossible because of age discrimination.
