It looks as if the answer of "it is not important" is enough to slay any inquiry and lay it to rest.

If the physical appearance of Jesus is "not important" then perhaps we can dispense with the human figure on the cross, and use the "AOL guy" nailed on the cross in churches. After all, it is the "spirit" NOT the particular 'image' that is important.

"not important"-- a useful way to dismiss something you don't want to talk about.

More than once I have heard earnest entreaties by self-styled street ministers explaining "so-and-so, who begat he-who-hah, who married she-to-way, daughter of luv-luv-luv.." all as an exercise to PROVE that Jesus was a black man.

The "appearance" of Jesus seems important to many now, but to none back then??

Your arguments are just too devastating Mars. So many men named Jesus, no romantic description about His complexion. That's all the proof you need right there.
