engineers are already gone John. And the job loss is precisely why we can't recover from this recession. The labor market for executives is not the same as for engineers. It is much more highly differentiated, and locality of flesh-pressers has a much more significant component to it than keyboard jockeys, for example. The CEO of satyam and infosys has the same job as the CEO of IBM, particularly since IBM is nothing more than a services offshorer. But that isn't where the real fat could be trimmed. I would start with the financial staff CFO and controller. These are positions that could easily be offshored for most firms.
