This analogy is not at all credible. As I wrote sometime ago, I resealed my driveway once, but that does not qualify me to be Secretary of Transportation. Kerry's short war service does not give him experience to wage a war on terrorism. Sorry, that old story does not fly. You got sucked into your party;s propoganda machine and fell bought it. Think about it...

He has the first hand combat experience and hence would know how to wage a war on terrorism

And democrats have no advantages over republicans...

He has the first hand combat experience and hence would know how to wage a war on terrorism and come out victorious in the shortest amount of time, money and loss of life. A C-in-C has a much better chance for success if he has been in the trenches...

There is no correlation between lower level combat experience and the ability to lead a nation in wartime, whether it be a hot war or a cold war. I do not recall having read about Franklin Roosevelt's combat experience, yet he successfully waged a two-front war. John Kennedy had combat experience yet presided over the Bay of Pigs debacle and propelled us down the slippery slope of Vietnam. Carter had military experience yet ended up having his presidency destroyed by Iran. Reagan had no military experience yet helped precipitate the collapse of the Soviet Union.
