most companies are guiding up but QLogic just warned. Very strange in this environment and interesting since QLGC is on a lot of focus lists (Merrill for one).

QLogic lowers outlook, citing decline in orders

SAN FRANCISCO, March 30 (Reuters) - Computer storage networking company QLogic Corp. (NasdaqNM:QLGC - News) on Tuesday lowered its fourth-quarter outlook, citing weaker-than-expected demand mostly due to a decline in expected orders from two original equipment manufacturer customers at the end of the quarter.

The Aliso Viejo, California-based company said it expects quarterly earnings excluding items to be about 36 cents a share, at the low end of the range of 36 cents to 39 cents previously projected during the third-quarter conference call on Jan. 14.
