Apparently your definition of "mutation" is "an event that cannot be demonstrated." Care to state what a mutation is? How about the Huskie dog? Obviously a mutation for survival. The great Blue Heron adaptation of tolerating people has been observed in a subset of the population, passed on to their offspring. The population that did not adapt is decreasing rapidly toward oblivion. It is by every bound of the www.m-w.com definition, a "mutation". And observed by bird experts and noted in number.
