That's the leftwing version of what you are objecting to. Doesn't newsmax pretend to be "news"? Truthout and moveon don't have such goals--they are partisan, they don't pretend to be anything but partisan, their columns are always written with an explicit perspective. True, the columnists make factual assertions that you may think is just not factual. But there is a big difference between something that is an op-ed column is both truth and appearance and something that pretends to be a news story but is really either a disguised op-ed column or just plain fabricated.
