I don't know what you are talking about. I recall writing that the President decides on broad strategies connected to a war such as if US should attack or not. The Generals plan the details such as the march to Baghdad or in the case of JFK, the Bay of Pigs operations. I didn't say anything about military advisers advising Kerry.

I recall saying that with Kerry's military background, he would know when and if the US should commit to war. As President he is not required to plan the details. No President does.
