Bush is lying about the budget deficit. We have a long term structural budget deficit caused by his tax cuts and he won't admit it. Just like he lied about the deficit in 2001 to get his tax cut and lied again in the 2002 State of the Union when he said the deficit would be small and temporary. Now we have a $500 Billion plus deficit and we will never see another deficit under $400 Billion.
