Bush reminds me of the sophomore jock who was pulled into college and then pushed into making speeches at team banquets. That his father's connections made it easy for him to do the bidding of the highest monarchists and capitalists goes without saying. Remember. Republicans don't win on issues. They win on grooming their candidates, using dirty tricks to keep the race as near as possible to 50/50 and then in the stretch expending obscene amounts of money in order to lure both the gullible and fencesitters. The fencesitters come to exist due to negative campaigning which makes them hate the opponent. With only half the nation voting, it's a simple formula. Indeed, the drug war, among other things, serve the purpose of helping to keep the electorate at half its potential, thus more manageable.
