They would only have that confidence, if they were totally certain nobody would identify them, nobody would give Intel to the occupation troops or the Iraqi police.

Which is exactly why the city has to be quarantined, occupied, pacified, and generally given "special attention".

It's our job to make sure that they learn some fear (as well as respect), even if at the point of a gun.

Because they simply cannot be permitted to disrupt the creation of a new Iraqi government. I don't care if we have to lock the whole city up (which is very doubtful would be necessary).

But I expect a major retaliation and response in coming days. And I expect Iraqi police and US HUMINT teams to track each of these individuals down and held for justice.

Otherwise, it's going to be VERY difficult to get US contractors, let alone soldiers, to ever enter Fallujah again.
