I listened to Franken for about an hour and a half today. While I was not listening intently, it seemed to go smoothly enough. He did a good interview with Bob Kerry and took phone calls from G. Gordon Liddy and Ben Stein.

The radio station that Air America purchased in Chicago was most recently an Hispanic station. Not exactly a high profile spot on the dial.

In other words, you have to promote narrowminded ignorance as a virtue to do well in American politics now.

Plenty of SI posters on both sides of the aisle who could qualify as guest hosts in that format.
