Reagan raised taxes in '83. It was the correct thing to do, even though the economy was just emerging from a recession.

Before Reagan raised taxes, the country lost over 2 million jobs.

After Reagan raised taxes, the country gained over 7 million jobs over the next 2 years!!!

The Clinton tax increase was fiscally responsible. Kerry voted for the Clinton tax increase ... Good, another reason to vote for Kerry!

raising taxes in not taboo i agree.. but to vote to raise them where it hurts the poor folks is nuts. Kerry has no idea what it is to try to find enough money to get to work. I wonder if he knows how much it costs to feed his suv.?

If kerry wants to help conserve then tax big gas hogs. people will have a chance to vote. remember the luxury tax that just expired? on boats, lux cars. etc. I just noticed a tax on my cell phone this month.. I do not remember it being there before. wonder if fed or state?

I doubt now is the time to raise taxes i am more concerned about keeping the economy growing an economy that europe would die for right now.

If kerry wants to increase taxes, let him tells us his program. Then i will vote accordingly.
