As a whole, Chinese people are not very religious. Indians, in contrast are mostly quite devout. That's a tremendous superiority for China. Where in history is the deeply religious country that made rapid economic progress? Nowhere.

I concur. India has been 'democratic' and capitalist for a long time and I think the results so far are disappointing. I'd focus on Vietnam as a big turn around before India at this point.

1) It appears that India is more 'socialistic' than China Ironic no :o)
2) Political stability. I don't see China havign a civil war, India has a big religeous issue. yep...
4 China is further down the developmnet learning curve, may be true but it appears the rate of change is faster and the whole enchilada appears more cohesive... OK not saying much compared to India... oh hell more cohesive period... India appears too much like a big bubbling pot....
7) Internal consumption will take off sooner in China I'd say India has squandered a massive head start...
