Steven,

Welcome to the world turned upside down. Republican nation builders and Democratic isolationists. Republican unilateralists who say the believe in free trade and Democratic protectionists who claim to be multilateralists.

It truly doesn't make much sense :-(

John

I am gravitating to your party Steven. Except for the Israel/Palestine issue where we have substantial disagreements.
Do you think Sharon's proposed unilateral withdrawl from gaza and i gather from some WB remote areas is a start toward an ultimate peace? With hamas in some disarray after the killing of Yassin and the Pal Pm saying some nice things about sharons idea, perhaps the road map can be revived and a settlement much like the Clinton/Barak/almost Arafat borders can be used for the model of land for peace? If the Moderate arab leaders chimed in with some support and some participation in solving this, that would certainly help. Mike
