Clinton didn't have the stomach. He blustered but everyone knew he didn't want to talk tough, let alone act it. Our entry into Iraq was via years of failed inspections and broken agreements that were made when Iraq sought relief from their failed war against Kuwait. Iraq's people, especially their young were suffering all the while due to their indifference of their leader and the UN (witness the scandal of food for oil with Annan relative, Kojo), who allowed it to happen out of either indifference or incompetence. Clearly the UN was invested in the status quo.

Clinton never lied us into a war. Neither did Bush and you certainly cannot prove dishonesty here at all, not even in the least way. But I gotta tell ya I'd rather Bush lie his butt off and then attack Afghanistan and Iraq, than do what Clinton did. The war actually was being fought right under Clinton's fat nose, and he did nothing about it. So, if Bush lied and now we are hitting terrorists, fine. You don't deserve the truth anyway - no leftist does.
